- After installing a GVP I/O Extender in my 4000, I thought it would be nice
- if my terminal (a `true' terminal, so just monitor and keyboard) could be
- permanently hooked up, so I can access my Amiga from somewhere else ;).
-
- Hpowever, in the current setup I must first switch the Amiga on, then the
- terminal, and start up a shell over the AUX: ports on the Amiga, walk to
- the terminal and start working -- but by then I would have been better off
- using the Amiga in the first place. I want to know whether some watchdog
- program exists which will auto-detect traffic on the serial lines (be it a few
- ENTER strokes), and open up a shell automagically ;). Of course, when a
- shell is closed on the terminal, the watchdog should remain active.
-
- Can anyone help?
